Youth Ney Naturalist (6th to 12th graders) MN River Canoe Trip!
Sunday, Oct. 26th
Free – Event!

The Ney Nature Center (NNC) in partnership with Wilderness Inquiry (WI) will be hosting a MN River canoe trip in 24-foot handmade Voyageur canoes!
Space is limited to 20 students so contact the Ney Nature Center to reserve your “paddle”!
We launch from River Park in Le Sueur at 1pm and come ashore at the Henderson boat landing at approximately 4:30pm.
Reservations and a signed waiver form is required to participate and can be downloaded at or contact the NNC office at 507-248-3474.

MS Halloween Dance on Friday from 7 t o 10pm. If you are inviting a guest, a guest form must be completed and turned into the office by 4 pm Thursday. Form available on the counter by Ms. Mediger.

We will be hosting several Career Cafes with local professionals this month. Bring your lunch to the career center at 11:20 to hear about jobs in:
-Engineering (structural & architectural) on Friday, Oct. 24
-Computer Graphics & Animation on Tuesday, Oct. 28
-Nursing on Wednesday, Oct. 29

October is College Knowledge Month in Minnesota and we'll be hosting a college scavenger hunt all week. Questions will be posted on the library window and daily bulletin. Turn in your answers this Friday to the main office.

Today's College Knowledge Month Scavenger Hunt question is:
Although many have attended Minnesota State University, Mankato, which teacher was the first female to participate in Men's Racquetball? Bonus-Name the LSH staff who are MSU, Mankato graduates.

NHS sign up in Ms Hynes room for Rake & Paint and the Halloween Carnival.

There will be a student council meeting Ms. Hynes' room today, Wednesday.

A reminder that students in Lifesavers will be meeting today, Wednesday during lunch in the career center.

There will be a short meeting on Thursday during lunch for any student interested in working on the yearbook next year. Bring your lunch and meet in room 235 (Mr. Christ's room). If you can't make the meeting, see Mrs. Ludwig sometime this week

Play announcement: Rehearsal right after school today for Act I, The Stuff in the Sink, followed with rehearsals for the 2 and 3 member sketches in Acts 1 and 2.

“ROOM CODE”, put in: giants
You can then start looking at pictures, editing the pictures—lightening them, cropping them, adding borders etc., and ordering them.
Activity passes may be purchased in the HS office or at any home game.
Cost is $30 for students and $75 for adults.
This pass will get you into all LSH home athletic contests for the 2014-15 school year. (This does NOT include tournaments.)

All 7 - 8th grade football players who have not turned in their White and/or Blue uniforms should do so this week. Give to Mr. Marcussen or Mr. Lewis.

All boys basketball players in grades 8 - 12 should see Mr. Marcussen sometime this week either before school or afterschool regarding team shooting shirts and travel suits.
