Advanced Algrebra II 
Advanced Algebra II Grade 10 One semester Elective 1 credit Prerequisite: Advanced Algebra I, Advanced Geometry, or Instructor’s Permission The course is recommended for students who intend to pursue a four year college program, have demonstrated strong ability and high interest in mathematics, and may specialize in some math or science related field. Topics covered in the course include linear equations and functions, inequalities, polynomials, rational expressions, irrational and complex numbers, quadratic equations and functions, polynomial equations, sequences and series, determinants, matrices, logarithms, and an introduction to trigonometry.

Pre-Calculus 
Pre-Calculus Grades 11-12 One semester Elective 1 credit Prerequisite: Advanced Algebra II; Integrated Math III or Instructor’s Permission This course will provide a bridge between Advanced Algebra II (Algebra II-Trig) and Calculus. Included is the study of elementary functions, logarithmic and exponential functions, trigonometric functions, formulas and identities, complex numbers and analytic geometry. If time permits other topics include curve fitting and models, polar coordinates, vectors and determinants, sequences and series, and matrices. Students will work with graphing calculators and it is recommended the student purchase their own (recommended: TI82, TI83 or TI85). Students will have access to the use of a TI82 in class.
